It is certainly an interesting election year.  As a conservative I can not vote for Sen. McCain.  I can not vote for a liberal.  What do I do?  I am told that I have an obligation to exercise my right to vote, but would I not be abandoning my conservative commitment to vote for someone I can not respect and do not believe should be in the position.  I have decided that I will vote, but will write in a more appropriate candidate.  Am I throwing my vote away, I think not.  I am exercising my right to vote.  Some would say that I was giving a vote to the Democrats, yes I am, but maybe that's not such a bad thing.  In observing the positions our "leaders" are taking I think this whole thing may be a positive.  We the people, are seeing who we have been electing over the years for who they really are.  It it concerning that the elected officials, elected to work for we the people, are really just power mongers, working for their own personal gain and status in the elitist community of DC.  Politics in Washington, DC are ugly and this is the result of allowing these people to stay in Washington forever.  Maybe we need to make some changes.  I think we should break up the social club.  Let's not allow our elected officials to go to Washington.  We live in an age where we have the technology to conduct business from different locations.  Maybe by leaving our congressmen/women in their home states we can discourage some of the politics as usual.  I am also beginning to believe we might consider term limits.  I am also interested in looking at the aides who appear to me to have a lot of responsibility and influence.  I just can't believe my Senators are reading every page of every bill.  Maybe we should have a say in who works for our elected officials.  DC is broken and yes, staying at home or writing in a candidate may be a wasted vote, but I somehow believe it may be a vote that will get someone's attention and maybe the beginning of doing business differently!

I want to say upfront that I am not an advocate for cheating, drug consumption, or any illegal act.  But, I have some concerns regarding baseball's cancer that was revealed yesterday.  I have a question about the federal government listing names of players who were accused by two men, who appear to have a much better memory than most of us over the past several years.  And, as for the federal government I have an issue with our congressmen having a hearing regarding this list and not passing a bill to support our troops.  These headlines about steroid use has captured every print media and blog site.  Great timing for the Dems when they are trying to cut off funding for the military.  My biggest question is did these players do something illegal.  If memory serves me I can buy HGH off the counter at WalMart!  I went through the list that included where the player bought the product and noted that the Health and Rejuvenation Center was one place some of the players had patronized.  Have you looked at their website?  Take a look at the site.  As a grandma the promises sounded inviting to me.  I even entertained the possibility that some of our older congressmen just might be visiting the center.  They seem to have lots of energy to pass questionable bills at 2AM and some look pretty sharp on the campaign trail considering the grueling schedules they keep.
Many things are going through my mind in regards to the reaction to Mitchell's findings and for some reason my red flags are going up.  These players have been tried and convicted, without ever having a day in court.  Is that the American way?  They will never go to court and will never have a way of proving they were not involved.  We have allowed two men, whom I would like more information on their backgrounds, to say they serviced these players with steroids.  I also question what type steroids are being used, there is chemical HGH and there is natural HGH.  Could this be a way for the feds to stop the sale of all natural remedies.  Trust me the drug companies would love that idea.  I am also concerned as to why baseball has been targeted, wrestling had a steroid user murder his family and commit suicide.  Steroids are not limited to professional baseball.  Anyone wanting to stay young and vibrant is open to taking the steroid route.  I would be willing to bet you would find equally as many names on a list if you investigated Hollywood, congress, all sports, and todays baby boomers.
In the end, I want to know what type of steroid therapy each player used, if it is legal or not, and if they participated in anything illegal I want them to have their day in court.  I do not want our congressmen wasting the valuable time, we pay for, dragging baseball players through the dirt!  This is a law enforcement issue.

Hi, I am new to blogging, but excited to have a site.  I am just a wife, a mom, and a grandma, who is interested in what is happening in our world today.  And, according to my family I am very opinionated.  They get tired of my ranting so I thought I would express my opinions into cyberspace and just might find others who will agree with me.  My favorite subject to follow is current events and I like to look at those events Biblically.  It is extremely exciting when you can clearly see that what God wrote so many, many years ago is so significant today.  Other subjects that I have opinions on include, the war, Hollywood, education, raising kids today, legalistic religions.....I guess my family is right, I have lots of opinions.  Are they all right opinions, you decide and maybe in the process you, the reader, can change my opinion.  But, then and again, maybe it will be you who becomes enlightened.  I will make no apologies for my opinions, they are spawned from years and years of life!  I am a busy woman, but I will try to address some issue close to my heart weekly.  Please visit my site again and I am looking forward to your comments.
